Gordon Hayward scores 40 points in Jazz loss
Utah Jazz guard/forward Gordon Hayward scored 40 points during a 111-106 Game 3 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday, adding eight rebounds, four assists, two blocks and four 3-pointers in 42 minutes.
Hayward becomes the fourth different Jazzman to score at least 40 points in a playoff game. Hayward wasn't finding many easy shots in his first two games, making just 12-of-33 from the field in the two L.A. games. Coach Quin Snyder looked to make an extra effort to get his Hayward some shots in sets, so maybe that'll continue in Game 4.
Hayward racked up a team-leading 30.58 nERD in this game.
