Joe Johnson sinks game-winner as Jazz steal Game 1

Utah Jazz guard/forward Joe Johnson hit a four-foot floater at the buzzer to earn a 97-95 Game 1 win over the Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday, finishing with 21 points, three rebounds, three assists, three steals, one block and three 3-pointers in 31 minutes.

What It Means:

That's why the Jazz brought him in last summer. Johnson played huge in his first playoff game as a member of the Jazz after Rudy Gobert went down, having to defend Blake Griffin for most of the game. Johnson now has eight game-winning shots in both the regular season and playoffs over the last 10 years, which is the most of any player during that stretch.

Without accounting for his surge in playoff minutes from Game 1, our models project Johnson for 9.1 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.6 assists over 23.4 minutes in Game 2 on Tuesday.
