Jazz might start Boris Diaw in Game 1
Utah Jazz forward Boris Diaw said he thinks he will be in the starting lineup against the Los Angeles Clippers for Game 1 on Saturday.
If Diaw is in the starting lineup, he will likely have to defend Blake Griffin unless Utah cross-matches and puts Rudy Gobert on Griffin. However, that would still leave Diaw to defend DeAndre Jordan, so there aren't too many great options for Utah with Derrick Favors still potentially limited. Expect Diaw and Favors to play the majority of the power forward minutes in Game 1.
Our models project Diaw for 4.8 points, 2.1 rebounds and 2.3 assists over 18.4 minutes on Sunday.
