Portland is unsure of Jusuf Nurkic's status for Game 1
Portland Trail Blazers head coach Coach Terry Stotts says center Jusuf Nurkic's (leg) status for Game 1 versus the Golden State Warriors is "undetermined."
Nurkic has missed the last seven games with a displaced fracture of his right fibula but has been taking part in some shooting practice and could be ready to play on Sunday. The main issue is pain, which the big man says he feels none in his leg. The Blazers desperately need his presence in the middle if they stand a chance to take down the Warriors. Meyers Leonard will start if Nurkic is unable to play.
Nurkic found success since being traded to Portland, averaging 15.2 points, 10.2 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.3 steals, and 1.9 blocks in the 20 games he played with the Blazers.
