Mavericks' Dirk Nowitzki confirms that he will return next season
Dallas Mavericks forward/center Dirk Nowitzki has confirmed that he will return next year for his 20th NBA season.
The soon-to-be 39-year-old Nowitzki has been insistent all season that he will play the final year of his contract next year. He also said that he may be open to playing even beyond that.
Dirk averaged 14.2 points, 6.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.5 3-pointers in 26.4 minutes per game through 54 contests this season. His -0.9 nERD ranked 295th in the NBA.
