Cheick Diallo has another big game for the Pelicans
New Orleans Pelicans power forward Cheick Diallo played a big role off the bench again on Wednesday, scoring 12 points and grabbing a career-best 16 rebounds as the Pelicans scored a 103-100 win over the Portland Trail Blazers.
With both Anthony Davis and DeMarcus Cousins on the sidelines in what were meaningless games for the Pels, Diallo played at least 26 minutes in three straight contests to close the season, averaging 12.7 points, 12.0 rebounds and 10 blocks per game in that stretch.
Diallo appeared in only 17 games in his rookie season, playing a total of 199 minutes, and he turned in a 0.1 nERD in that small sample of playing time.
