Minnesota Timberwolves center Karl-Anthony Towns exploded for 28 points, 21 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 steal in 36 minutes of action as the Wolves closed out their season with a 123-118 loss to the Houston Rockets on Wednesday.
Towns turned in an outstanding sophomore season, averaging 25.1 points, 12.3 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.3 blocks in 37.0 minutes per game. He was one of only four players to average at least 20 points and 10 rebounds per game this season.
Towns finishes the regular season ranking ninth in the NBA (and first among Wolves players) with a strong 14.5 nERD.
