Dallas Mavericks forward Harrison Barnes (rest) will not play Sunday versus the Phoenix Suns.
Barnes had wanted to play all 82 games this year but will fall at least one short as he will sit out his first game of the season on Sunday. With the Mavs eliminated from the playoffs, they have no reason to play their 24-year-old leading scorer. Nicolas Brussino and Dorian Finney-Smith will pick up the slack.
