Gordon Hayward suffers quad contusion in Jazz loss
Utah Jazz guard/forward Gordon Hayward suffered a left quadriceps contusion on Saturday against the Portland Trail Blazers and will be re-evaluated on Sunday.
He took a knee to his left quad back on March 25 and ended up missing one game, so it sounds like this is a similar injury. Hayward was able to stay in the game, but he did have a noticeable limp. The Jazz are fighting for the fourth seed in the final two games of the season, so Hayward will do everything he can to play on Monday against the Golden State Warriors. If he misses time, Joe Ingles and Rodney Hood will be the big winners.
Hayward put up 1.49 nERD last night, per numberFire Live.
