Cavaliers' Tristan Thompson (thumb) will miss at least next two games
Cleveland Cavaliers forward/center Tristan Thompson (sprained right thumb) will miss at least the next two games.
Thompson will miss Wednesday's showdown with the Boston Celtics and Friday's game against the Atlanta Hawks. His absence will open up a starting opportunity for either Channing Frye or Richard Jefferson, but they don't offer much upside. Owners with fantasy championships on the line may be forced to cut Thompson as there's no guarantee he returns for Sunday's contest in Atlanta.
Frye is averaging 10.7 points, 4.9 rebounds and 2.1 blocks per game in 10 starts this season. His 1.1 nERD is fifth on the Cavaliers.
