Denver Nuggets center Jusuf Nurkic went 12-of-15 from the field on Tuesday, exploding for 33 points, 16 rebounds, 2 assists and 3 steals in 33 minutes of action as the Blazers beat the Denver Nuggets 122-113.
This was Nurkic's first game against the Nuggets since being traded in February, and he looked to be playing with a bit of a chip on his shoulder in this one. The trade seems to have done him some good, and he has averaged 15.0 points, 10.4 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 1.9 blocks and 1.2 steals through 19 games with Portland.
Nurkic also finished the victory with a huge 48.8 nERD, per numberFire Live. Despite his recent success, Nurk still ranks only 374th in the NBA with a -2.0 nERD on the season.
