Pistons' Reggie Jackson (knee) out Tuesday, may be shut down
Detroit Pistons point guard Reggie Jackson (knee) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Miami Heat, and he may end up being shut down for the season, per head coach Stan Van Gundy.
Jackson had already been moved to the bench while Ish Smith moved into the starting lineup a couple of games ago, and he was sidelined on Monday against the New York Knicks. Smith and Beno Udrih will see increased minutes for as long as Jackson is out.
Jackson has averaged 14.5 points, 5.2 assists and 2.2 rebounds in 27.4 minutes per game this season. His -2.4 nERD is the fourth-lowest mark among Pistons players and ranks only 390th in the NBA.
