Marcin Gortat barely sees the court as Washington falls to Boston
Washington Wizards center Marcin Gortat saw only 12 minutes of action on Monday, posting 4 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists as the Wizards lost to the Boston Celtics 110-102.
Gortat got into foul trouble early in this game, and while there are no reports of any injury, he did head to the locker room briefly after picking up his third foul. We can expect his minutes to pick back up a bit moving forward -- though he has only averaged 25.0 minutes per game since the All-Star break, compared to 34.5 per game before the break.
Gortat is averaging a double-double for only the second time in his career, with 11.1 points, 10.9 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game on the year. He ranks fourth among Wizards players and 72nd in the NBA with a 2.7 nERD.
