Heat say Dion Waiters (ankle) won't play Tuesday
Miami Heat guard/forward Dion Waiters (left ankle) will not play Tuesday versus the Phoenix Suns.
Waiters remains on crutches and there's a chance he's unable to return before the end of the regular season. Josh Richardson will replace Waiters in the starting lineup while Goran Dragic and Tyler Johnson are going to see more opportunity on offense. Owners without an IR-spot can cut Waiters.
In 22 starts this season, Richardson is averaging 11.7 points, 3.6 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.1 steals and 1.5 3-pointers over 33.4 minutes per game. Waiters' -2.7 nERD is third-worst on the Heat, one spot ahead of Richardson (-2.8 nERD).
