Devin Booker D. Booker

Suns' Devin Booker is playing through ankle issue

Phoenix Suns shooting guard Devin Booker is playing through ankle and Achilles' pain according to head coach Earl Watson.

What It Means:

"Most games [the ankle] loosens up and then I'm able to go," Booker said on Friday. "Tonight, it was stiff most of the night. Came back here [to the locker room] and tried to work on it and just couldn't get it going." This likely explains why he shot 3-of-13 from the field in Friday's loss to the Orlando Magic. The Suns have little choice about feeding him big minutes because they have already shut down guards Eric Bledsoe and Brandon Knight for the year. The Suns have six straight road games beginning on Sunday, so maybe he will get a maintenance day in the near future.

Booker is averaging 34.6 minutes per game on the season. On Sunday, we project him for 35.0 minutes, in which he should earn 21.1 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per our models.
