Anthony Davis scored 24 points during a 128-112 win over the Rockets on Friday, adding 15 rebounds, three assists, one steal and two blocks.
What It Means:
It was still a solid game, but most Brow owners probably had higher hopes. Davis has a 37.4 usage rate in his minutes without center DeMarcus Cousins (knee, ribs) since the break, which tops his 29.1 Usage Rate with him. He's also way better on the glass with a terrific 19.2 total rebounding rate without Boogie. If Cousins is out again on Sunday, Davis against Minnesota Timberwolves big man Karl-Anthony Towns should be a treat.
Davis saw a tame 3.79 nERD generated for his efforts on Friday night, with a diminished 26.5 percent Usage Rate and a lackluster 59.4 percent True Shooting Rate.
