Celtics' Jae Crowder scores 24 points in win over Nets

Boston Celtics forward Jae Crowder scored 24 points with 12 rebounds, one assist, one steal, and four 3-pointers in 35 minutes during a 98-95 win over the Brooklyn Nets on Friday.

What It Means:

With point guard Isaiah Thomas (knee) out, it was Crowder picking up the offensive slack in a very favorable matchup for season highs in points and boards. He was coming in cold on offense with five consecutive games of single-digit scoring, but nothing can cure a slump quite like the Nets. Crowder continues to add stats in multiple areas, and we can expect him to have a similar finish. With Thomas out again on Sunday, Crowder could have another big game against the defensively-challenged Philadelphia 76ers.

Crowder's team-leading 41.87 nERD was nearly five times as much as the next-best player on the team last night. His 85.2 percent True Shooting Rate led the way for Boston as well, and he had a strong 18.7 percent Usage Rating as well.
