DeMarcus Cousins (knee, ribs) out Friday for Pelicans

New Orleans Pelicans forward/center DeMarcus Cousins will not play on Friday against the Houston Rockets due to left knee soreness and a right rib contusion.

What It Means:

Cousins took a kick to the chest on Wednesday night, so that was likely cause for the absence. He received an MRI for his knee, but results were negative for structural damage. Look for Anthony Davis and Jrue Holiday to stay busy on offense picking up the load. Jordan Crawford and Dante Cunningham could also benefit.

With Cousins out of the lineup, Crawford becomes one of numberFire's favorite DFS plays of the night. We project him to score 20.0 fantasy points at a minimum $3,500 price tag on FanDuel, making him our fourth-best value play on Friday's eight-game slate.
