Lakers will start Ivica Zubac for the remainder of the year
Los Angeles Lakers center Ivica Zubac will start the team's final 15 games this season, according to head coach Luke Walton.
The Lakers are totally out of playoff contention, and are much more concerned about getting their young players minutes than they are about winning games down the stretch, so this news doesn't come as much of a surprise.
The 19-year-old Zubac has averaged 6.9 points, 4.1 rebounds and 1.0 blocks in only 14.9 minutes per game through 30 contests as a rookie. He ranks seventh among Lakers players and 243rd in the NBA with a -0.4 nERD on the season.
