Ricky Rubio sets a Minnesota franchise record in Monday's victory
Minnesota Timberwolves point guard Ricky Rubio scored 22 points and tallied a franchise record 19 assists in 39 minutes of action as the Wolves beat the Washington Wizards 119-104 on Monday.
Rubio had flirted with the record before, having recorded 17 assists 5 times in his career, and he finally broke it on Monday. While his 9.8 points per game are the second-lowest of his 6-year career, Rubio is also averaging a career-high 8.9 assists to go with 4.0 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 32.4 minutes per game this season.
Rubio finished with a strong 25.6 nERD in Monday's win, per numberFire Live. He also ranks second among Timberwolves players and 89th out of 475 players overall with a 1.3 nERD on the season.
