Brooklyn Nets center Brook Lopez (sprained right ankle) will not play against the Dallas Mavericks on Friday night.
IT looks like Lopez sprained his ankle at some point Wednesday night. While the team is just playing out the string, they don't want to do any extra damage to their big man in meaningless games. Expect the Nets to be extra cautious with Lopez. Justin Hamilton will likely start in his place.
Hamilton has averaged 7.7 points and 4.2 rebounds in six games as a starter this season.
