J.J. Barea (calf) plans to return for Dallas on Friday
Dallas Mavericks point guard J.J. Barea (calf) says that he expects to play on Friday as the Mavs take on the Brooklyn Nets.
A calf strain has held Barea out since January 20, and he has missed a total 44 games out of a possible 62 due to injury this season. Don't expect him to return to a full workload right away, though his return will likely cut into Yogi Farrell's minutes.
Barea is averaging 12.2 points, 2.9 rebounds and 4.9 assists in 24.7 minutes per game this season. His -0.2 nERD ranks 204th among 473 players on the year.
