Luis Scola officially waived by Nets
The Brooklyn Nets have officially waived forward/center Luis Scola.
What It Means:
Scola, who turns 37 in April, will look to join a contender as his NBA career likely comes to a close. Justin Hamilton should see more opportunity in Brooklyn's rotation, but doesn't really make for a great add.
Hamilton is averaging 6.8 points, 4.5 rebounds, 0.9 assists, 0.8 blocks and 0.9 3-pointers in 19.5 minutes per game this season. His -1.4 nERD ranks 12th on the Nets and is tied for 347th in the NBA.
