Houston Rockets shooting guard James Harden led a shootout 142-130 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday night, scoring 24 points on 6-of-15 attempts.
He hit 7-of-10 from the line and 5-of-11 from deep, adding 10 assists, five rebounds, two steals and one block in 35 minutes. The Rockets attempted 58 treys, three shy of their franchise record; head coach Mike D'Antoni said this week that the Rockets want to attempt at least 50 three-pointers every night. There's been some talk about the Rockets reducing Harden's workload a bit, but that doesn't really matter in an offense as potent as this.
Harden is averaging a ridiculous 28.9 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 11.3 assists per game on the back of 36.5 minutes per contest. His 13.7 nERD is third-best in the NBA.
