Nikola Mirotic

Bulls' Nikola Mirotic scores 20 points in 37 minutes

Chicago Bulls forward Nikola Mirotic scored 20 points with eight rebounds, two assists and four 3-pointers in 37 minutes off the bench against the Phoenix Suns on Friday.

What It Means:

Back in October, Mirotic was fully expected to start for the Bulls this season, but Taj Gibson thriving and Mirotic flopping caused a change. The Bulls still need a shooter in their first unit, so the chance is there for Niko to start over power forward Bobby Portis. He's on the 2017 Mt. Rushmore of most annoying players in fantasy, but he might be able to stay hot with added motivation.

Mirotic's 19.4 percent Usage Rate is just the 44th-best mark among the 82 forwards to play at least 20 minutes per game this year. His Effective Field Goal Rate is 15th-worst among the same. Mirotic has contributed a -1.3 nERD to the Bulls this year, which ranks 338th (out 464) in the NBA.
