DeMar DeRozan scores career-high 43 points for Raptors
Toronto Raptors guard/forward DeMar DeRozan posted a career-high 43 points, adding five rebounds, five assists and one 3-pointer in 37 minutes during the 107-97 win against the Boston Celtics on Friday.
In his 517 minutes on the floor without Kyle Lowry (wrist), DeRozan has a whopping 41.4 usage rate, so he is looking at some massive output while Lowry is on the shelf. Despite the Raptors adding Serge Ibaka and P.J. Tucker, they are lower-usage players -- another positive for DeRozan.
All the situational stars are aligning for DeRozan, and he's capturing the moment. The Raps' All-Star is averaging a career-high 27.6 points and 5.3 rebounds per game. His Effective Field Goal Rate is the second-highest of his career, and he's attempting the second-most shots per game among guards in 2016-17.
