Trail Blazers may give starting nod to Jusuf Nurkic on Thursday night
Portland Trail Blazers forward/center Jusuf Nurkic could move into the starting lineup on Thursday versus the Orlando Magic.
Head coach Terry Stotts said Nurkic would have to earn the starting job, so if he's already done so, that would be wonderful for his fantasy value. Meyers Leonard will move back to the bench if Nurkic is in the first unit. The Bosnian big man went 5-for-5 from the field and finished with 13 points, 7 rebounds, 1 assist, 3 steals and 1 block over 21 minutes in his Portland debut against the Utah Jazz on February 15.
Our models expect Nurkic to turn in 11.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.2 blocks in 25.3 minutes on Thursday night. He costs $3,700 on FanDuel and makes for a fantastic value play on the six-game slate.
