Nets willing to accept less in trade for Brook Lopez
The Brooklyn Nets have lowered their asking price on center Brook Lopez and are now willing to accept a first and second-round pick, according to ESPN's Marc Stein.
The Nets were previously demanding a pair of first rounders in exchange for Lopez, but the DeMarcus Cousins deal undoubtedly hurt his trade value. Lopez owns the second-highest usage rate of his career this season (29.3 percent), but that number would likely take a hit if he is sent to a new home.
Lopez is averaging 20.8 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.8 blocks and 1.8 3-pointers per game this season. He leads all Nets players and is tied for 94th in the NBA with a 1.1 nERD this season, although Lopez's 9.3 total rebound percentage is the second-lowest of his nine-year career.
