Clippers still interested in Knicks' Carmelo Anthony

The Los Angeles Clippers have continued to explore the possibility of acquiring New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony, according to ESPN's Zach Lowe.

What It Means:

Lowe reports that the Clippers are "still kicking the tires on everything", and have not given up on their pursuit for Anthony. He has a no-trade clause in his contract, and has been insistent that he wants to stay with the Knicks, so it looks unlikely a deal gets done before Thursday's deadline.

Anthony is averaging 23.4 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.9 assists in 34.0 minutes per game this season. His 1.5 nERD on the year ranks second among Knicks players and 84th in the NBA.
