Nuggets' Jamal Murray earns MVP in Rising Stars game
Denver Nuggets guard Jamal Murray took home MVP honors in the Rising Stars Challenge during the World's 150-141 win on Friday, scoring 36 points with four rebounds, 11 assists, one steal and nine 3-pointers in just 20 minutes.
Murray was sizzling in the second half, scoring 25 of his 36 points and he ended the game 13-for-19 from the floor. The Nuggets are in a position to contend for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference and that may hurt Murray's playing time down the stretch. He is currently averaging 19.9 minutes per game this season
Murray is averaging 8.9 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.8 assists on the year. He has a .473 effective field goal percentage and a -3.6 nERD, which ranks 439th.
