Dion Waiters goes off in Miami's win over the Rockets

Miami Heat guard/forward Dion Waiters filled up the stat-sheet with 23 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists in 37 minutes of action as the Heat beat the Houston Rockets 117-109.

What It Means:

Waiters has shown no ill-effects from the ankle injury that sidelined him for three games last week, and has played at least 34 minutes while scoring 23 points in each of his two games since returning. He's averaging career-highs in all of points (15.9), rebounds (3.6) and assists (4.3) in 30.9 minutes per game this season.

Waiters finished second among Heat players with a 21.6 nERD in Wednesday's win, per numberFire Live. After an inefficient start to the season though, he ranks only 401st in the league with a -2.3 nERD on the year, which is also the third-lowest mark on the Heat.
