Ben Simmons may miss the remainder of the season for Philadelphia
Philadelphia 76ers forward Ben Simmons (foot) may be forced to miss the entire season, per 76ers beat writer Tom Moore.
Simmons hasn't started scrimmaging yet, and head coach Brett Brown has said that Simmons will have to go through at least five 5-on-5 scrimmages before playing. He's running out of time to meet that quota before the season ends, but Philadelphia really doesn't have much incentive to rush him onto the court.
The 76ers aren't threats to make the playoffs this year, with our models giving them less than a 1.0 percent chance. They are the second-worst team in the league this season, according to numberFire's NBA Team Power Rankings.
