Aaron Gordon will play more power forward for Magic
Orlando Magic forward Aaron Gordon will see some more minutes at the four-spot with Serge Ibaka no longer a part of the equation, general manager Rob Hennigan said.
Gordon played a ton at the four-spot last season, but new head coach Frank Vogel has primarily used him at the three this year, despite inconsistent and largely disappointing results. More run for Gordon at the four could open up minutes for Mario Hezonja on the wing, as well as take away from Jeff Green's playing time.
Gordon's player efficiency rating has dropped from 17.0 last season, to 12.5 this season. His 9.1 total rebound percentage is also a regression from last year's 15.1 percent clip. The third-year forward is averaging 11.2 points, 4.6 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.0 3-pointers in 27.5 minutes per game.
