Jusuf Nurkic will make Trail Blazers debut on Wednesday
Portland Trail Blazers center Jusuf Nurkic will make his team debut Wednesday against the Utah Jazz, per head coach Terry Stotts.
Nurkic believes he was poorly utilized in Denver with the Nuggets, and there's plenty of reason for excitement about his new fit in Portland alongside Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum. Stotts has said that Nurkic will be brought off the bench as he's eased into things, but he should take over the starting job before too long.
Right now, our models expect Nurkic to play 18.4 minutes on Wednesday night, and we project him to record 7.8 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.2 assists. His struggles in Denver contributed to a -2.5 nERD which ranks outside of the top-400 players.
