Josh Richardson will not play Monday night in Miami's matchup with Orlando
Miami Heat guard/forward Josh Richardson (foot) is getting "fairly close" to a return, according to head coach Erik Spoelstra, but will remain on the sidelines for Monday's matchup with the Orlando Magic.
Richardson has sat out since January 16 and is likely to remain out the rest of the week with the All-Star break on deck. With the way he has played this season, Richardson is no lock to earn a starting spot when he returns. He will have to fight Dion Waiters, Wayne Ellington, Tyler Johnson and Rodney McGruder for minutes the rest of the way.
Richardson is averaging 11.1 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 0.9 steals and 1.6 3-pointers per game this season. His -2.5 nERD is second-last on the Heat.
