Markieff Morris double-doubles in return for Wizards
Washington Wizards forward Markieff Morris (calf) returned from a one-game absence to help the Wizards get a 112-107 win over the Indiana Pacers on Friday, scoring a season-high 26 points on 11-of-18 shooting.
Morris had 10 rebounds, to go with 3 assists on the night and he also canned 3-of-6 three-point attempts. He logged 31 minutes, so his calf seems to be just fine. Morris has played well in Washington's current hot streak. After beginning the year averaging only 12.5 points per game, Morris has averaged nearly 17.5 points per game since January 1.
On the season, Morris is averaging 14.2 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.1 assists over 32.9 minutes per game. He owns a .486 effective field goal percentage and a nERD of -0.8, which ranks 292nd in the league.
