Al-Farouq Aminu's season-high 26 points not enough for Portland
Portland Trail Blazers forward Al-Farouq Aminu came off the bench and hit 8-of-12 shots and three 3-pointers for a season-high 26 points, 5 rebounds and an assist in 31 minutes of Thursday's 120-111 loss to the Boston Celtics.
Aminu made all four of his fourth-quarter attempts, finishing with 10 points -- including two triples -- in the final frame. Moe Harkless got the start, but was virtually non-existent, opening up opportunity for Aminu off the bench. If he gets back into the first unit, Aminu could prove to be great value with Evan Turner (hand) sidelined for the next month.
Aminu paced all Blazers players with a 17.5 nERD on Thursday night, per numberFire Live. His -3.2 nERD for the season, however, is second-worst on the team and tied for 430th in the NBA.
