Suns' Dragan Bender out 4-6 weeks due to ankle surgery
Phoenix Suns power forward Dragan Bender underwent successful arthroscopic ankle surgery on Wednesday to remove a bone spur, and he's expected to miss the next 4-6 weeks of action.
An earlier report indicated that Bender would be done for the season, but now we have a clear timetable after what was a relatively minor procedure. His minuscule 12.7 minutes per game will be divvied up between Marquese Chriss and Jared Dudley, but all that means for fantasy hoops is that Bender is droppable.
Bender's .476 effective field goal rate is outside the top-125 among NBA big men.
