Clippers' Chris Paul (thumb) making solid progress
Los Angeles Clippers guard Chris Paul is making solid progress in his recovery from left thumb surgery, but his initial 6-8 week timetable has remained unchanged.
Paul has been working out with the team and doing pretty much everything except playing in games, so the good news is he doesn't seem to have any restrictions other than actually suiting up. For now there has been no word on a return date, but if he is making steady progress, he could come back on the early end of his timetable.
Paul is averaging 17.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, 9.7 assists and a league-leading 2.2 steals per game. He has a career-best .550 effective field goal percentage and his 8.0 nERD ranks 12th among all players.
