Raptors' DeMar DeRozan drops 31 points in a much-needed win
Toronto Raptors guard DeMar DeRozan returned from his ankle injury and hit 11-of-22 shots and two 3-pointers for 31 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists and a steal in Monday's 118-109 win over the Los Angeles Clippers.
The Raptors were really struggling with DeRozan out, so his performance was likely a site for sore eyes after Toronto dropped eight of their last 11 games. DeRozan had missed seven of the team's last eight games, but as long as he isn't too sore and didn't suffer a setback, he should be ready to play Wednesday against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
DeRozan is averaging a career-best 27.8 points to go with 5.3 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.2 steals over 35.5 minutes per game this season. He owns a .555 true shooting percentage and ranks 21st in the NBA with a 5.7 nERD.
