76ers, Pelicans discussing Jahlil Okafor trade
The Philadelphia 76ers and New Orleans Pelicans have reportedly engaged in advanced talks to send center Jahlil Okafor to New Orleans.
What It Means:
The 76ers are reportedly seeking a first-round pick in return, but Alexis Ajinca and his contact may also be required to facilitate a deal getting done. Okafor would likely gain value in New Orleans, and that would mean less opportunity for Terrence Jones. Nerlens Noel would benefit in Philadelphia without Okafor around.
Okafor currently ranks 357th in the NBA this season -- out of 460 players -- with a -1.4 nERD.
