Heat cut Derrick Williams and will sign Okaro White
The Miami Heat will waive forward Derrick Williams and sign forward Okaro White to a two-year contract.
What It Means:
Williams fell out of the Miami rotation almost a month ago while White has played well in limited minutes so far through nine games. Williams will probably clear waivers and has not been a fantasy candidate all season. White is also not a great pickup unless injury strikes the Heat again.
In nine career games, White is averaging 4.1 points and 2.6 rebounds over 16.4 minutes per game while posting a .600 effective field goal percentage.
