Jeremy Lin

Nets rule out Jeremy Lin (hamstring) on Friday versus Pacers

Brooklyn Nets guard Jeremy Lin (hamstring) will not play against the Indiana Pacers on Friday.

What It Means:

Lin was eyeing a return before the All-Star break, but that doesn't seem probable. He's not worth holding, but Isaiah Whitehead has emerged as an intriguing option.

Whitehead averaged 8.4 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.9 assists in 22.3 minutes across 15 games (five starts) in January. However, his -5.6 nERD is currently tied with Emmanuel Mudiay for second-worst in the NBA. This is likely the result of a .434 effective field goal percentage and 20.9 percent turnover rate.
