Ivica Zubac may join Lakers' first unit eventually
Los Angeles Lakers center Ivica Zubac moving into the starting lineup at some point this season is "definitely a possibility," said head coach Luke Walton.
"That's definitely a possibility, that at some point [Zubac] starts," said Walton, "and the same with a lot of our young guys. Walton acknowledged that he wants to be fair to the older players, but Zubac could be worth a stash. D'Angelo Russell, Larry Nance, Jordan Clarkson and Zubac should all see more run once the Lakers are officially eliminated from playoff contention.
Zubac has triple-doubles in three of his last five games, averaging 9.0 points, 7.6 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 1.4 blocks in 21.0 minutes per game over that span. He's currently sixth on the Lakers with a -0.5 nERD this season.
