Luol Deng (wrist) will be active Wednesday for Lakers

Los Angeles Lakers forward Luol Deng (wrist) will play Wednesday in Portland against the Trail Blazers, head coach Luke Walton confirmed.

What It Means:

Deng played 19 minutes on Sunday in his return from a two-game absence. He didn't scrimmage on Tuesday, but will be ready to roll again for the road tilt in Portland. The 31-year-old veteran has started all 44 games he's played in this season, but he's averaging a career-worst 8.2 points per game on a career-low 14.5 usage percentage.

Deng's 27.4 minutes per game are the lowest since his rookie year when he logged 27.3 minutes per contest. His efficiency has waned as well, evidenced by a career-worst -3.0 nERD that is third-last on the Lakers.
