Denver falls to San Antonio despite a career day for Nikola Jokic
Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic exploded with a career-high 35 points to go with 12 rebounds and 4 assists as the Nuggets fell 118-104 to the San Antonio Spurs on Thursday.
Jokic went into this one nursing an ankle injury, but it didn't seem to slow him down at all. He has been on a tear recently, with at least 20 points and 10 rebounds in each of his last four games, averaging 29.0 points, 12.0 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.5 blocks per game over that stretch.
Jokic ranks 18th in the NBA and first among Nuggets players with a 5.2 nERD on the season. He also led Denver with a 21.3 nERD in Thursday's loss, per numberFire Live.
