Kristaps Porzingis ready to play for the Knicks on Thursday
New York Knicks forward/center Kristaps Porzingis had an MRI on his left Achilles that confirmed there was no structural damage and he will be available to play on Thursday against the Washington Wizards.
Porzingis had missed the last four games -- seven overall -- with Achilles soreness, so this is great news for the Knicks. They may be a bit cautious with their budding superstar, meaning it wouldn't be a surprise to see him playing limited minutes on Thursday. He might be called upon to play some at the five with Joakim Noah (ankle) out.
Our models project Porzingis for 17.1 points, 6.9 rebounds and 1.7 blocks in 30.5 minutes of action on Thursday.
