Rudy Gay will miss the rest of the Kings' season with a ruptured Achilles
Sacramento Kings forward Rudy Gay suffered a full rupture of his left Achilles tendon and will miss the rest of the season.
Terrible blow for Gay as he will undergo surgery in the next few days. The Kings lose their second-best scorer and most valuable trade piece as they try to compete for the final playoff spot in the West. Garrett Temple and Matt Barnes will receive the biggest bump in fantasy value with Gay sidelined. Temple gained the most during Gay's 11-game absence earlier this season.
Gay was averaging 18.7 points, 6.3 rebounds and 2.8 assists in 30 games this season. His -0.2 nERD ranks outside of the NBA's top-200 and is tied for seventh on the Kings.
