Garrett Temple plays well off the bench in Kings' defeat
Sacramento Kings guard Garrett Temple posted 9 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists in 29 minutes off the bench Wednesday as the Kings fell 106-100 to the Indiana Pacers.
What It Means:
Temple will likely continue to play big minutes with Rudy Gay having suffered what appears to be a torn Achilles. Temple has averaged 11.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.5 steals in 29.8 minutes per game through 11 contests that Gay has missed this season.
It has not been an efficient year for Temple, and his -1.0 nERD ranks 328th in the NBA and is a bottom-five mark among Kings' players.
