Jazz say Rodney Hood hyperextended his knee
Utah Jazz head coach Coach Quin Snyder said guard/forward Rodney Hood (right knee) has a hyperextended knee.
This is just the initial diagnosis, so he isn't out of the woods yet, because either way the injury looked pretty severe. It is still possible he has ligament damage, but right now he is out indefinitely and will probably undergo some more tests. Alec Burks, Joe Johnson and Joe Ingles will all have to play increased minutes while Hood is on the shelf.
Hood is averaging 14.0 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.0 assists over 29.3 minutes per game. He has a .500 effective field goal percentage and a nERD of -0.8.
